The Bureau Business Center is a purpose-built co-working space in Dubai's Gold & Diamond Park. It is a co-ed space and community open to everyone! The Bureau has coworking lounges, meeting rooms, podcast studios, phone booths, a Jones the Grocer cafe and a pumping room for new mothers. “Empathy With Understanding for a Better Society”

How often have you seen misunderstandings ruin something good? To be even specific, since it’s women’s international day, we’re talking about misunderstandings between genders. The common problem we see out there is that people try to project themselves onto each other without trying to understand where one or the other is coming from. Be it in relationships, co-workers or friends - employing understanding with empathy can solve a lot of problems and help us build better environments for a greater society.

In the spirit of International Women’s Day, we’ve invited three well established women in our community to share their thoughts and how they’ve navigated through challenges and reached their goals by employing understanding and empathy.


About the moderator - Thomas Mathew

About Tasneem & Zaish (Panelist)

Tasneem, a lawyer by qualification, with a passion for fashion, delved into the fashion industry's dark realities during the covid pandemic. Witnessing the struggles of artisans and industry workers in developing countries, moreover the impact the pandemic had on their lives, she founded Zaish, with a vision of revolutionizing fashion. Tasneem extensively studied fabrics, production, and exploitation in fashion, aiming to create positive change. She achieved change by creating and selling multiple handcrafted pieces with artisans and artists as well as by hosting workshops promoting artists with international brands and entities.

Her efforts garnered recognition, including a cover story on the Wknd magazine of Khaleej Times, an ARN network radio interview, multiple invitations as speaker and judge from universities such a Middlesex University, University of Wollongong amongst other such credentials. She was also invited as an official speaker at COP28 to share her experience working with women below poverty and the impact they had on the environment.
